Here is a weekly snap shot of reguarly scheduled events:
Monday:
- Walking Tour of Santa Monica & Venice: See the Santa Monica Pier, Venice Boardwalk, and more on this tour of Santa Monica and Venice's historic streets.
Tuesday:
- Comedy Night at HI Santa Monica- See professional comedians perform every Tuesday and Saturday at HI Santa Monica! For mature audiences.
Wednesday:
- Beach Volleyball at Santa Monica Beach -- What's more California than a game of beach volleyball? Come play on the courts down at beautiful Santa Monica Beach.
Thursday:
- Coffee with Fellow Travelers-- Head to a local coffee shop with a guide to get a taste of local cuisine and mingle with new friends.
- Evening Yoga Class --Join us for a 45-minute Vinyasa yoga class led by a certified instructor! Mats and cleaning supplies provided.
Friday:
- Morning Yoga Class -- Come to our weekly Yin/Hatha Flow yoga class led by a local certified instructor! Warm up for the day ahead with dynamic and grounded movement.
- Welcome Party-- Join us for a night of snacks, games, and making new friends at our weekly Welcome Party! Mingle with fellow travelers and learn more about Los Angeles.
- Pub Tour --Join us at some of Downtown Santa Monica's favorite bars and meet fellow backpackers at our weekly Friday Night Pub Tour.
Saturday:
Comedy Night at HI Santa Monica- See professional comedians perform every Tuesday and Saturday at HI Santa Monica! For mature audiences.
Sunday:
- LA's Sawtelle Japantown Walking Tour (select Sundays)-- Did you know Los Angeles is home to two major Japanese American neighborhoods? Explore the Westside's Sawtelle Japantown with us!
- Temescal Canyon Hike (select Sundays)--The hike involves hiking a 2.5 miles (round-trip) trail with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and city at the top of the mountain. Note this is an uphill hike and not a flat ground walk. The group will travel to and from the hostel by bus to the hiking area.
Note: Weekly events are subject to change and subject to availability. Many events require registration so please make sure to register once you receive the email from HI USA two days prior to arrival or when you arrive to the hostel to reserve your spot. For any events off site, guests are responsible for purchasing their own subway or bus tickets, food and drinks.
