HI Boston Hostel hosts regular events for guests to enjoy and meet fellow travelers and learn more about the local communuity and culture. All events are FREE, unless otherwise noted. Please check the 'Get Going' wall at the hostel when you arrive for additional one-off events the hostel may be hosting!

Here is a weekly snap shot of reguarly scheduled events:

Monday:

MIT: Historic & Architecture Walking Tour--Join an MIT Alumni on a tour through the campus of the Mass Institute of Technology. See the awesome buildings and campus where innovation thrives!

Mindful Movements Yoga-- Come sooth your body with a chill, beginner-friendly afternoon vinyasa yoga session.

Monday Trivia Night Welcome Party -- Join us for a Welcome Party at HI Boston to mingle with fellow travelers and learn about Boston. Free drink tickets provided, as well as snacks and non acloholic options. Must be 21+ to drink alcohol. 

Monday Night Pub Tour- Join us for beer or wine at a local cafe, good conversations and forge personal connections with your fellow hostellers! 

Tuesday:

Rebels Tour - Join us for an exploration of the rebels and troublemakers who helped define Boston's culture. From the revolutionaries, the activists, the writers and the trendsetters!

Boston Tea Party Welcome Party -- Join us every Tuesday while we enjoy local snacks and tea and learn about local Boston Tea Party history.  

Wednesday:

Slow Flow Yoga--Come start your morning with a chill, beginner-friendly vinyasa yoga session.

Freedom Trail Walking Tour -- A long walking tour through some of the most beautiful and historic places in the city! Ending with a boat ride in Boston Harbor! 

Boston Public Arts Tour (Select Wednesdays) -- Join us on a deep dive into some of the local art installations for a pleasant 1.5 hour tour around the neighborhood!

Thursday:

Harvard "A Complicated History" Walking Tour--A guided tour through some of the most important sites in Harvard University and observe them in a new way, touching upon the complicated and often dark history of Harvard.

Riverboat Tour on the Charles River! - Join us on Thursday for a narrated tour up the famous Charles River. See the skyline and sights in Harvard and MIT along the way! Guest age 21 and up can enjoy a drink at the on-board Bar!!!

Thursday Night Welcome Party -- Join us for a Welcome Party to mingle with fellow travelers and learn about Boston. Free drink tickets provided, as well as snacks and non acloholic options. Must be 21+ to drink alcohol. 

Thursday Pub Tour -- Come join tour leaders and your fellow travelers for a Boston pub tour! 

Friday:

Bike Boston Tour--Join us for a wonderful exploration of Chinatown, the Rose-Kennedy Greenway, Downtown, and many more! We will talk about the Influence of Climate Change, Gentrification and Urban Planning on these neighborhoods on a well designed beginner-friendly cycling tour!

Flow and Restore Yoga-- Come sooth your body with a chill, beginner-friendly afternoon vinyasa yoga session.

Skyline Tour at the Piers-- Join us for an evening walk to the multicultural hub that is East Boston, and along the best skyline views of the city!

Friday Pub Tour -- Come join tour leaders and your fellow travelers for a Boston pub tour to some exciting areas! 

Saturday: 

Freedom Trail (Select Saturdays) -- Join us as we follow the world-famous Freedom Trail from the Common up to the North End, and explore the stories that helped shape the USA.  

Southie and Seaport Bike Tour (Select Saturdays) -- Join us on a cycling adventure to two little-visited areas of Boston! The Seaport District, South Boston and the Southie neighborhood for some insider spots for photos!
Boston by Foot Dark Side of Boston Walking Tour -- Join our friends at Boston By Foot on a walking tour which will dive into the dark and macabre history of Boston! Tickets are 5 dollars!

Saturday Night Pub Tour (select Saturdays)-- Come join tour leaders and your fellow travelers for a Boston pub tour! 

Sunday:

Riverboat Tour on the Charles River! - Join us on Sunday for a narrated tour up the famous Charles River. See the skyline and sights in Harvard and MIT along the way! Guest age 21 and up can enjoy a drink at the on-board Bar!!!

SUNDAY FIELD TRIPS -- Join us on a day-long outing to a destination outside of Boston! Some days we visit Providence, capital of Rhode Island. Sometimes we visit the Witch-City, Salem! Maybe we'll go and check out an abandoned Civil War era prison and fortress on beautiful George's Island! Check the schedule to know what's coming up! 

Seaport and Harpoon Brewery Tour-- Join us Sunday for a tour of the newest neighborhood of Boston, and its oldest brewery!

Sunday Cinema -- Join us in the community room for a movie and discussion.

Many events require registration so please make sure to register once you receive the email from HI USA two days prior to arrival or when you arrive to the hostel to reserve your spot. For any events off site, guests are responsible for purchasing their own subway or bus tickets, food and drinks.
